New: The Shabbat Page, Updated: The Noach Page

Photos of Sukkot in Jerusalem



Hi Everyone!

Tonight, Tuesday night Chol Hamoed Sukkot, I took a walk in Jerusalem and took photos of Sukkot including the Jerusalem Light Rail, Kikar Safra (city hall) and restaurants in the center of town.

Sukkot is the Jewish holiday that commemorates how protective "Clouds of Glory" surrounded the Jewish people after leaving Egypt during the forty years of wandering in the desert. It also commemorates how the Jews lived in temporary dwellings during that same time.
Sukkot begins Wednesday night, October 8, 2014.
