Hebrew Jokes and Riddles with English translations
Hi Everyone!
I have a website called:
Hebrew Jokes - Learn Hebrew and Laugh
http://www.hebrew-jokes.com
Each joke / riddle is displayed in Hebrew with Nikud, and there
is an English translation of the joke.
The jokes are suitable for all ages.
The bilingual menus allow you to browse through the jokes,
choose a specific topic or click on the random button for a joke.
If you do not have time to read all the jokes at once, when you
return to the site you can continue where you left off (next joke number).
The system, also, has a joke basket where you can add your
favorite jokes and then print them out.
Reading jokes in Hebrew can be a fun activity in your ulpan or
Hebrew class. Even native Hebrew speakers will find jokes that
are worth telling their friends.
Enjoy!
Please share. Thank you!
Have a good day,
Jacob

ruled over Israel.

Educational Resources about Tisha B'Av
Shalom.
Tisha B'Av is the saddest day on the Jewish calendar because of the incredible series of tragedies which occurred on that date throughout Jewish History.
Tisha B'Av means "the ninth of the Hebrew month of Av". Tisha B'Av primarily commemorates the destruction of the first
and second Temples, both of which were destroyed on the ninth of Av - the first by the Babylonians in 586 B.C.E.; the second by the Romans in 70 C.E.
Although this day is primarily meant to commemorate the destruction of the Temple, it is appropriate to consider on
this day the many other tragedies of the Jewish people, many of which occurred on this day, most notably the expulsion of
the Jews from Spain in 1492.
This year 5778 - 2018, we observe the fast day of Tisha B'Av starting from Saturday after nightfall, July 21,
until nightfall on Sunday, July 22.
You can learn more about this Jewish fast day at:
https://jr.co.il/hotsites/tisha-b-av.htm
May we see the rebuilding of the Temple in our days and that Tisha B'Av becomes a day of celebration.
If you are fasting:
Have a meaningful fast.

Free online: Sermons The Year 'Round by Rabbi Bernard L. Berzon
Hi Everyone!
I grew up in Brooklyn, New York.
During my high school years and college years (72-80)
I lived at home and attended the shul Ahavath Israel
on East 29 and Avenue K in Brooklyn.
The sermons that Rabbi Berzon z"l gave where very good.
He would talk to you as opposed to above you. His love
for Israel and the Jewish people was very evident in
the words he spoke.
Over 39 years ago Rabbi Berzon gave my father z"l
a copy of his book. Even though times have changed,
since the book was published 40 years ago, the messages,
anecdotes, and stories are still very enjoyable.
I felt that many people that otherwise would not have
access to this book may benefit by having access to it
on the Internet. I contacted Jonathan David Publishers
and they gave me permission to scan, format and post it
on the Internet.
