The Beeper Files
Hi Everyone!
Many things are happening around us.
The news is a mixed bag. Many terrorists were wounded
in Lebanon in the past 24 hours but at the same time
4 IDF soldiers lost their lives fighting terrorists in Gaza.
May the IDF soldiers' memories be for a blessing.
I have been living in Israel for the past 40 years and I still can not
get used to the extreme ups and downs that can occur within 24 hours.
However, there are reasons from above for everything and we must
keep a positive outlook / have tikvah that Israel / Am Yisrael will win
the war against our enemies.
Whoever planned and excecuted the Beeper / Walkie Talkie / Communications
operation deserves a Kol Hakavod!
I decided to add a new page to my site that may bring a smile to your face.

May the wounded have a complete and speedy recovery.
May the hostages be freed now.
May God protect the IDF, the police, the security forces
and all of Am Yisrael.
Have a good night,
Jacob

Photos of the Back to School Happening and Ki Tetze - Weights and Measures - my parsha
Hi Everyone!
Today, September 12, I went to the "Back to School"
happening in memory of Nativ Kuzaro z"l.
I posted photos online at:
https://jr.co.il/ma/pic/2024/ma1553.htm
This week's parsha, Ki Tetze, was my Bar Mitzvah Parsha.
During my high school years and college years,72-80,
I lived at home and attended the shul Ahavath Israel
on East 29 and Avenue K in Brooklyn.
Rabbi Bernard L. Berzon z"l was the rabbi of the shul for 43 years.
Here is a short Dvar Torah from Rabbi Berzon z"l.
Ki Tetze - Weights and Measures

I updated the Rosh Hashana hotsites at:
https://jr.co.il/hotsites/rosh-hashana.htm
Additions will be made as we get closer to the chag.
I also changed the layout of the High Holiday humor section at:
https://jr.co.il/humor/hh.htm
Enjoy!
